Fluffle House Design has made a conscious determination to align with best practices and industry standards when sourcing the fabrics and materials for use in these creations. That is why we procure all natural fibers from suppliers practicing sustainable production techniques. As a result, the costs of these materials is greater than lower quality, offshore supply chain fabrics. But the look, the feel, the wearability and the longevity of these premium materials is vastly superior to the same design produced with low cost alternatives.
What is GOTS?
We also look for suppliers that are certified by several of the third party organizations that offer industry oversight in setting standards surrounding the labor practices, environmental considerations and production elements in the manufacturing of the raw materials used. For example, GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards), OEKO-TEX, FairTrade America are all organizations whose certifications provide confidence and preference in our procurement process. Those certifications ensure our customers receive design products constructed of the highest quality materials, those materials manufactured under the most stringent standards for cleanliness, ethical labor practices and environmental considerations.
